Integrated Mental Health

There is a dramatic shift taking place in the healthcare field as functional medicine and alternative, holistic, and integrative therapies are increasingly being used to treat mental health conditions.

What is Integrative Mental Health?
Integrative mental health emphasizes treating the mind, body, and spirit through a healing oriented and patient-centered approach that considers the whole person including all aspects of lifestyle.

In conventional medicine the mental health is treated in a reactionary manner treating the symptoms when they arise while integrative medicine focuses on preventing the symptoms and maintaining health through multiple angles including gut health/digestion, sleep, diet, stress, hormones,
thyroid function, toxins, genetics, medication and supplements.

Integrated mental health treatments combine scientifically proven alternative and complementary methods with conventional medications and psychotherapy to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of individuals with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, sleep disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders and mental conditions associated with aging.

What makes our services different?
BioRestore is already a one-of-a-kind health companion that recognizes the importance of optimizing hormonal balance, pain management, sexual health and weight loss on an individual’s overall general well-being.

BioRestore recognizes how these factors can also negatively impact a person’s mental health and the need for quality mental health services in our current healthcare environment. Our focus is to provide a one-on-one treatment and support approach incorporating key functional medicine concepts. The individual’s treatment is focused on addressing the root cause of symptoms and creating an individualized care package incorporating traditional and alternative therapy approaches.

BioRestore also emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship between the practitioner and the patient and has created a treatment model in which the nurse practitioner managing your medication also provides your therapy services.

Treatment Approach

”I believe that in our current healthcare climate, the most frustrating and discouraging issue for patients is feeling unheard, unseen, judged, marginalized, or placed in a “one-size fits all” treatment box. I am passionate about providing personalized medical services and addressing each one of my patients’ individual values and unique medical needs. My goal is to bring a kind, approachable, and responsive style to every visit and interaction. I am particularly interested in working with individuals with co-existing thyroid disorders and depression, low testosterone and depression, female hormonal imbalance and anxiety/depression, obesity and unhealed trauma, as well as healthcare workers struggling with anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, PTSD/trauma and substance use disorders.”
